AACE 2.0 is retrofitting the Ann Arbor Connected Environment with C-V2X direct technology. Additionally, each intersection is being tested (certified) to ensure they meet connected intersection requirements developed by ITE, SAE, and SCMS Manager. UMTRI is preparing the infrastructure for vehicle OEM collaborators to test their day 1 applications suite from the 5GAA U.S. V2I deployment guide. AACE 2.0 will be the national reference for cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) technology, setting the benchmark for commercial deployment and large-scale adoption. |
