Synopsis:	This second FCW Project built upon the foundation of the human factors work conducted in the first FCW Project and involved two major research lines. The first research line was aimed at understanding the relationship between data obtained by employing CAMP’s “surrogate target” methodology under closed-course conditions and the data obtained by the National Advanced Driving Simulator (NADS). The second line of research focused on evaluating, and potentially refining, the preliminary crash alert timing approached that was developed under the first FCW Project.
