Synopsis:	The Vehicle Safety Communications (VSC) Project was tasked with the evaluation of vehicle safety applications and associated communication requirements. As a result, the project promoted accommodation in developing communication standards with standards organizations to ensure that 5.9 GHz Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) protocols supported vehicle safety applications.
